10 fresh new hues we witnessed on the Grammys red carpet
It’s all about that Grammys glam.
The American music industry just had one of their biggest celebrations of music last night, and all your favourite artists were on the red carpet strutting their stuff. Here are our top picks of ground-breaking shades from the star-studded event, and we can’t wait for some of our Bollywood babes to sport them soon!
The outfit is fairly plain, but the striking orange shade elevates the simple ensemble to another level. We also love how it draws attention to Rihanna's tattoo!
The men rarely ever get any attention on the red carpet, and it's even harder when you've got Chrissy Teigen standing right next to you. But John Legend stands out from his fellow artists because of his choice to don a subtle peach shade. You know what they say, real men wear peach!
We know what you're thinking: "Doesn't that look kind of... swampy?" And maybe it does. But the dull mossy hue helps Adele's skin seem tanner and her eyes seem brighter, so we think it's a pretty good pick.
We've seen enough royal purples to last us another decade, but this deep yet bright violet has a dimension previously unseen on the red carpet. And we're sure it's going to be a hit come summer, the season for all things floral.
Nudes can get kind of boring after we see them on the red carpet again and again, but Demi uplifts the colour by adding undertones of yellow and green. We think this more complex nude really shows off her dark mane!
In a sea of bright and electric, Jennifer Lopez draws attention to herself with a muted lilac. This subtle hue adds an element of grace to her outfit.
Metallics are super in right now, which is why we love Solange's unique yellow-black metallic gown. The harmony of those two colours make her shine even brighter!
JOSH DUN, 21 PILOTS
Did someone say bright? Because there's nothing more shocking than Josh's intense lime green hair. We love how he's not afraid to try new shades, and we think this may actually vibe with his 21 Pilots image pretty well.
Could this be a nod to Halsey's song "Colors"? Maybe, maybe not. But either way, not only is her choice to wear co-ordinates bold and daring, but her ensemble's colour is too! We love the vivid ocean-like blue she's picked for this outfit.
TARAJI P. HENSON
We love this fun colour! It's young, energetic, and vibrant. The amethyst-like pigment is stunning, and helps Taraji step out of the overdone black gown.
