From exiled princess to nomadic tribal bride to the Mother of Dragons and Queen in Meereen, Daenerys Targaryen has had an incredible journey across five seasons — one that’s required an equally dramatic and diverse wardrobe. With the season closing in last night, we feel the fans need something to hold on to till Season 6 comes out next April.
As Daenerys progressed from being Khal Drogo’s wife to the Queen of Meereen, she shed her tribal Dothraki clothes to adopt more elegant silk dresses. In season 5, we see our favourite Khaleesi, no longer wandering the wastelands but ruling from a Meereense pyramid, looking like this:
Moving on to more structured clothing, the new Queen has definitely stepped up her fashion game with cape dresses.
May it be at the fighting pits of Meereen..
Or when she’s being a good mother to her dragons.
With a heartbreaking end (spoiler alert!) to season 5, all we can do is sit and wait to see what the next season brings in terms of fashion. For now, all we can say is “Winter is Coming”.
