Back To School Special: Blogger Style

It’s that time of the year again! Teenagers just out of junior college are all nerves thinking about the undergrad life that awaits them. And how do you deal with these nerves, you ask? Why, dress up in a kickass outfit and look your best!

At StyleCracker, we’ve always believed in the understated power of awesome clothes. If you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you can take on anything! As Marilyn Monroe once put it, “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.”

This time, we bring you ideas from the best street-style fashion bloggers in the country. Here are five of our favourite ‘back to school’ looks, straight from the fashionistas themselves.

Devina Malhotra of GuiltyBytes.com looks cool in a multi-coloured crop top with black pants. A chic sling purse accessorizes her appearance, with brightly coloured flats to complete the ensemble.  The trick here is to wear a crop top, the length of which you can comfortably carry off. Throw a little statement jewellery into the mix, and voila, you’re all set to impress!

Rupa of JennysBicycle.blogspot.in is of the opinion that hats should be worn way more in a country like ours, where the sun shines eternally. And we agree. Hats are to an outfit what tastemaker is to noodles; easy, instant panache. Here, Rupa uses a hat to appropriately match a printed shirt and a flowing knee-length skirt.

Gia Kashyap of GiaSaysThat.com takes a more formal approach. A crocheted lace top paired with a black skirt from Asos, to which she adds a dash of colour with pink heels and blue clutch. It’s got all the right elements for a college going gal: prim, proper, feminine and charming, all at the same time.

Roxanne D’souza of Head2Heels.co has fun playing around with accessories. This blogger jazzed up her outfit with frills that pop! The statement jewellery, belt, watch, bag and shoes serve as colourful accents which help break the monotony of black and white.

Tanya Virmani of LetsExpresso.com keeps it minimal with a preppy peplum top and coloured pants; a simple outfit that she sets off with a statement tote bag and matching loafers. This clean, minimalistic style works well for ‘back to school’ outfits.
