Beauty DIY: Face Packs

We’ve had a tough week and are in need of some TLC and relief from the grueling sun.Β  The perfect solution? Home made face packs that make use of natural and fresh products and let you relax in the cool confines of your room.

 

Toning

Ingredients:

Grated potato: This tuber fades suntans and tightens the skin.

Grated cucumber: With its cooling properties, it lightens dark circles and tightens open pores.

Aloe Gel: A multi purpose plant, the gel tones skin and is effective against acne.
Lime: Its citrus properties, lightens spots and leaves skin glowing.

Method:

Mix a tablespoon of each of the ingredients in a bowl and blend well. Apply all over your face and keep it on for 10-15 minutes. Gently wash off the pack with warm water.

 

Moisturising

Ingredients:

Curd: A natural moisturizer, it leaves your skin soft.

Turmeric: Its antiseptic properties keep a check on acne.

Honey: A natural toner and skin softener.

Method:
Mix a tablespoon of each of the ingredients in a bowl and blend well. Apply all over your face and keep it on for 10-15 minutes. Gently wash off the pack with warm water.

 

Exfoliating

Ingredients:

Khus Khus (poppy seeds): These grainy seeds act as a scrubbing agent, which removes dead cells.

Chandan (sandalwood powder): It removes excess oil from the pores.

Rose water: Keeps your skin from becoming excessively dry.

Method:
Mix a tablespoon of each of the ingredients in a bowl and blend well. Gently rub the paste on your face in circular motions. Once you have gently scrubbed the entire face, wash the pack off with warm water.
