But be warned, Sabyasachi’s femme fatale from his collection titled ‘Bater’ is far from coy. A raw sexuality permeated the majority of the looks and even his signature pieces were not spared from this transformation. From those vintage-esque high necked blouses to his sculpted, floor length jackets that work the less-is-more sensual vibe and the evergreen net and lace sari, were all over-hauled into pieces of power play.

Besides taking bespoke to another level with expert workmanship and detailing, Sabyasachi also took the styling a notch higher by collaborating with Christian Louboutin on accessories that echoed the theme with severe spikes, bondage-like straps and dangerously high stilettos.

While the Pantone palette stayed within the off-colour bounds (another Sabya signature), the last three looks were a deep sanguine red.
Highlights: A form-flattering asymmetrical tunic, a head-to-toe sequinned dress with a deep V-neck, a layered sari and easy-to-throw-over anything capes – separates that we can imagine seeing plenty off – both on and off the red carpet.
