I know fashion designers are showcasing their Summer/Resort collections so each outfit is expected to be light and airy. Everything from the silhouettes, fabrics and even the hair and makeup was so easy-breezy – I wanted summer to come sooner! We saw tonnes of tulle, light wraps and a whole lot of sandals and flat shoes. Designers like Urvashi Kaur, Ikai and Dhruv Kapoor gave us layers and sheer fabrics while Amrich and Label by Ritu Kumar brought on some summer drama with metallics.
The super fast-paced day ended with Anita Dongre’s ‘Songs of Summer’. The venue moved to ITC Grand Central and the terrace was transformed into the most perfect garden. Pretty much every piece was a winner and Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput closed the show in the best of the lot.
