Yes it’s that time of the year again, when we all eagerly await the trend report to come in so that we can start gearing up for the summer ahead! The fashion week is here, and Day 2 of Spring/Summer 2015 collections was as awesome as expected. Here’s SC’s lowdown on the trends spotted on the Wills runway!
Gauri and Nainika Karan sent down the ramp a collection inspired by the degradation of our environment and global warming, it seemed. Color Blocking was a key trend in their collection.
Payal Pratap’s indo-western influence and colorful, kaleidoscopic prints made for one chic collection.
Manish Gupta’s designs featured exquisite surface texturing and tasteful evening pieces in nude shades.
EKA’s spring/summer collection was all sporty ease morphed into relaxed casuals. Loosely-fitted, straight-falling silhouettes and midi length hemlines were key.
Kavita Bhartiya’s outfits were inspired indo-western, tipping toward occasion wear. The color palette was a pleasing feminine nude to pink; silhouettes A-line.
Samant Chauhan’s plant-life inspired prints and embellishments makes “leaf print” a must-have trend for summer 2015. Also, it can be safely deduced that sleek, long kurtas are the thing to stock up on for the coming season.
