We all know how utterly expensive makeup is right now, but there are a few ways we can prevent cosmetics from burning a huge hole in our wallets. That’s right, SC has here a few recipes that you can use to whip up your very own makeup in your kitchen!
Make Your Own BB Cream!
Using arrowroot powder as base, add really small amounts of cocoa powder and finely ground cinnamon powder to it, until you have a shade closest to your skin color. Now mix this powder with a dollop of your preferred lotion (choose one that already contains sunscreen) and add a few tiny drops of glycerin to it (add glycerin only if you have dry skin). And tada! There you have it – your own BB cream, that works as moisturiser, sunscreen and foundation, all at once.
You can add a teaspoon of vodka to your skin color mix of arrowroot, cocoa and cinnamon to harden it to a compact too.
Cleanser + Moisturiser + Makeup Remover for Dry Skin!
Add a few drops of almond oil to a teaspoon of coconut oil and massage into the face for 7-10 minutes. Next, place a washcloth soaked in hot water on your face, leaving it there till it cools down. Wipe your face clean of excess oil, makeup and dirt. Naturally dry skin will be left clean and super soft after this treatment.
Wear Your Own Brand Of Lip Color!
Add a pinch of food color (pick a color that you want to wear on your lips) to a tablespoon petroleum jelly, mix well, and you’re all set!
