#DressMeGoa

Goa is not a destination; it’s a state of mind. A place of bohemian abandonment, sea and sand, where the party starts under the stars and continues till the sun is blazing.  So naturally the street style is relaxed chic. Sun seekers love hitting the beach in loose harem pants paired with slouchy vests or kaftans and sarongs. This laid-back beach look translates to all-day wear even if you are heading out to lunch. Once the sun is down, the bling comes out as nightclubs and streets are flooded with party hoppers looking for that ‘it’ party of the night.  High street labels co-exist peacefully with flea market finds and designer accessories. Naturally, the cabanas and beach shacks are the place to style watch as an endless parade of resort wear and beach cover-ups compete with the sight of the surf and sand. Goa, we miss you!

Vraj:bhoomi

The Indian contemporary label started by NIFT graduate Bhoomi Dani plays on the designer specialisation in textile design. Crafting chic ensembles in traditional Indian textiles, the label is involved in reviving and sustaining Indian crafts and each piece has a story to tell.

Must have: The summer jacket can be worn on your bikini as you set out to hit some waves or paired with a pair of tank top and leggings, and it can be an ideal loungewear. The black and white weaves represent the architectural convergence of the British, Portuguese and Indian styles whereas the vibrantly embroidered trims represent the multifaceted culture and vibrant lifestyle of the Goa!

Must do: Goa is all about the beaches—soak the sun, swim in the sea and relax in the evening with a glass of wine at Thalassa, a Greek restaurant with an indulgent menu.

Gush Shoes & Accessories:

A fashion graduate trained in footwear design and leather accessories, and a business management graduate may seem like two unlikely partners, but Vrinda K. Gupta and Manav Shah defy the odds. Combining their design sensibilities the duo launched Gush, specialising in footwear and accessories for men and women.  With a promise not to succumb to bling, the label explores surface embellishments and quirky accents to make each collection unique.

Must do:? Sarongs, sunglasses and sunscreen—the three S’s that will make your Goa trip fun and fashionable. Don’t posses a sarong? Worry not, visit the Anjuna Wednesday flea market to get the best in funky printed sarongs or palazzos, team it with a tank top and Tibetan jewellery to look your coolest best to beat the heat.

Must have: The Buttoned neckpiece and the Buttoned thong flats. A swimsuit, a white sheer shirt teamed with these multi coloured accessories will make you look chic.
