Because why should tuxedos be confined to just our Bajirao?
The unspoken fashion rule has already been challenged- by the bold and the daring power dressing of our B-town beauties. When the A-listers began embracing pantsuits, bow ties and tuxedos through their red-carpet wardrobe, it was established that soon gowns will be simply called history. A quick recap of Bollywood’s best, changing the fashion game!
ALIA BHATT
Chic yet stylish defines Alia’s style and we simply love that! With her recent appearance on the latest season of Koffee with Karan- dressed in a white, satin power suit by Emporio Armani (paired with Christian Louboutin heels), she’s proved yet again who the reigning queen of effortless A-list celebrity fashion is.
ADITI RAO HYDARI
At the 61st Britannia Filmfare Pre-Awards party this year, Aditi Rao Hydari made her ‘Encrusted White Suit’ the talking point of the party. With flared bottoms, a black blouse, bold lips and a touch of class with Maithili Kabre danglers really won our hearts!
SONAM KAPOOR
No one knows, casts, embraces and slays trends like Sonam Kapoor! At the HT Style Awards 2016 earlier this year, Ms. Kapoor opted for a Dice Kayek monochromatic number with black ankle-length pants and a suit jacket! And of course a white crisp shirt to balance the androgyny. Can we talk about the messy bow tie too? Just WOW.
PRIYANKA CHOPRA
Turning heads at TIME’s 100 Gala this year, Priyanka Chopra went all-white with an Olcay Gulsen suit. After all, isn’t this what international stars wear now? The stooping neckline was highlighted by a Y neckpiece and a pulled-back high bun brought her cheekbones to notice.
DEEPIKA PADUKONE
And lastly, Bollywood’s #1’s recent appearance at the Esquire Awards in Dubai officially changed the red carpet dress code! Styled by Shaleena Nathani, the XXX star wore a sharp-fitted tuxedo by Monisha Jaising, high-waisted bell bottoms, a white corset, choker and a crisp black blazer- all to replace the boring gown. Before I lose breath, let’s not forget the pop red addition!
Happy about the change?
