India Bridal Fashion Week Highlights – Part 2

Here are the highlights from Day 3 and Day 4 of BMW India Bridal Fashion Week.

JJ Valaya’s collection, which ended the India Bridal Fashion Week last week, was called The Nautch Of Fez. The designs were a perfect blend of old styles and new – a nod towards the 90s traditional wear. The silhouettes were kept simple – straight and A-line.

Meera and Muzaffar Ali’s collection on Day 4 was all things super-pretty. Beautiful, fine embroidery , soft muted pastels and long elegant silhouettes made up their entire collection.

Jyotsana Tiwari’s label JONA sent down the ramp a dreamy wedding collection “Under the Stars” that offers delightful designs for the bridesmaids as well as the bride. Draped saree lehengas, anarkali variations and voluminous gowns – everything a bride and her friends dreamed of.

Suneet Varma’s “Princess of Shekhawati” was a winning combination of traditional Indian-wear and contemporary elegance. Exaggerated hand-made accessories added to the drama, while the mirrorwork embellishments served as a salute to the crafts of Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Falguni and Shane Peacock’s collection was inspired by bombers and biker jackets and was wonderfully fresh! For surface embellishment, they worked with antique-style tone on tone embroideries. This is one for the bride who is still a tomboy at heart.
