Make-up trends saw a lot of change in the past year, with metallic eyes and two toned lip colours, to ombré and dip-dyed hair. Moving forward, the new year brings along with it something old, something new, and something for everyone!
In a complete contrast to the light colours and pastel shades one would expect to see for Spring, this year’s spring make up trends saw the return of the ravishing shades of red lip colours, warm brown’s and purple’s to highlight the eyes, and risky yet fun pop of a bright colour on the eyes.
SC has listed below the fabulous make up trends of Spring 2015:
No-makeup makeup: The nude no-makeup look has gone up to a whole new level and was one of the biggest trends seen on this year’s Spring Fashion runway. We expect to see more of the same glowing yet subtle trend throughout the year.
Flaming Red Lips: Rich shades of red were a favorite on the ramp for the season and personally we love it! From blood red’s to rich plum’s, every shade of the colour was seen on the Spring 2015 runway. (SC picks- Russian Red by M.A.C)
Subtle eyes: Moving on to eye makeup, the colours to watch out for this year would be the warm shades of brown n lavender. Faintly highlighting your eyes, the colours are the perfect shades to carry of by the Indian skin tone.
A Classic with a Twist: Black eyeliner has been used by women all over the world for centuries together. We all love a chic cat-eye look, but this season, makeup artists are working the thin fine lines and we think it works!
