Make Your Own Body Scrub!

Body Scrubs are an important part of our weekly beauty regime as just exfoliating the face is like scratching the surface of all the dead skin and dirt build-up. But you can never be too sure of what they put in as ingredients of the scrubs readily available in the market. Harsh chemicals can cause the skin to breakout in zits or bad-reaction rashes. And we don’t want that, do we?

To avoid those chemicals, you can make your own body scrubs, in your own kitchen!
SC has made a list of 5 easy DIY Body Scrubs that you can even personalise by adding your favourite flavours and scents! It’s fun, and it will save you a fortune.

Coconut Oil and Granulated Sugar – Coconut oil is a boon for the skin and hair, that’s common knowledge. Add 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar to 3 tablespoons of coconut oil to make a body scrub that will leave your skin supple and glowing!

Oatmeal and Almond Scrub – This mixture is the best body scrub for skin lightening! Just mix together a cup each of oatmeal and crushed almonds and add a tablespoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of milk. Give yourself a nice rub with this miracle scrub and find your skin soft and supple after!

Lemon and Honey – This one too is a skin lightening blend. Mix together 1 small cup sugar and ½ cup olive oil with 1 tablespoon honey and the juice of 1 lemon. You can add a few drops of vanilla essence for fragrance.

Brown Sugar and Vanilla – This is a winning scent combo. Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup white sugar, 3 tablespoon vanilla extract, 1/4 cup almond oil and smell like cake all day long!

Coffee Scrub – You’ll smell like an awesome cup of rich coffee if you use this one. Mix equal parts of sugar, salt and coffee (1 cup each) with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoon of coconut oil.  This scrub is effective in reducing cellulite too!

Try adding a few drops of your favourite scent or essential oil to your scrub and smell divine the whole day.
Use these all-natural body scrubs twice a week and see how they work wonders with your skin. They also make for pretty neat gift ideas for loved ones!
