‘Wear more colour!’ my mother often tells me. Until recently I never really listened. However, like they say, always listen to your mother! My closet was home to a majority of blacks and whites but now I consciously try to pick up more colour. Are you looking to join the colour bandwagon? Here’s a list of my favourite hues for summer and a few tricks on how to style them just right!
Coral
“Colour doesn’t only mean apparel! Switch things up by popping up your lip-tone. I love the shade ‘Calypso Coral’ by Bobbi Brown- its the go-to item in my beauty bag.”
Mustard Yellow
“My most recent purchase- a little yellow dress from Forever 21 is my new absolute favourite. Pair it up with a khaki parka for work or killer heels for a night out with the girls. Either way, it works!”
Pop Orange
"Dresses, flip-flops or bags- pop orange is definitely summer’s happiest hue! Incentive? It works perfectly for beach weddings! Opt for a little orange blouse with your ivory saree for the perfect balance of soft and loud.”

“A definite summer soother, a touch of blue (or several) is a closet cooler. Pick a shade that suits your complexion and wear it with whites, nudes and khakis to compliment it best. My favourite? A chambray shirt-dress which I wear with nude pumps or wedges and my oversized have-it-all bag!”
