Rahul Mishra wins the International Woolmark Prize
It happened over the weekend, but we still can’t contain our excitement about Rahul Mishra’s big win. For those who missed this big news, Mishra bagged the International Woolmark Prize (IWP), in Milan and became the first Indian to do so. Past recipients of the award include fashion icons like Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld. Showcasing his mastery over technique and embroidery, Mishra’s merino wool collection won him a chance to retail at major fashion global retailers like Harvey Nichols, Saks Fifth Avenue, 10 Corso Como, Joyce, David Jones, Colette and mytheresa.com as well as a cash prize of AU$100,000! Kudos Rahul. We’re sure this is just the beginning for the talented designer.
Oscars 2014: Fashion
The biggest awards show is back this weekend and we can’t wait to watch the fashion highs and lows on the red carpet. But it seems like the drama has already started. So the story goes like this: Two Donna Karen Atelier gowns were sent by plane to LA for fittings, the plane landed but the precious gowns went missing! Cue high fashion drama with by-the-minute twitter updates, till the precious luggage was found and safely delivered to the stylist. Last we heard the gowns had made it past the mystery actor’s first round and were shortlisted!

This month long initiative has been dubbed Brow Arch March! The suggested donation of five pounds will go to Look Good Feel Better, a charity that offers master classes and make-up sessions to cancer patients to combat the visible signs of treatment.
