Dressed like an international star in a navy bias-cut Prabal Gurung (with colour-cousined stilettos), Priyanka Chopra cast a major presence at the UNICEF’s 70th Anniversary Celebration in New York recently.
Moving forward from Amitabh Bachchan being appointed as UNICEF’s Global Goodwill Ambassador in the year 2005 (leading the wolf-pack for eradication of polio), PC has been announced as the global organisation’s Global Goodwill Ambassador this year! She instantly tweeted saying, “Can’t believe it’s been 10 years! Honoured to now serve as UNICEF Global Goodwill Ambassador along with this amazing group For Every Child.”
Group? Yes, how could we forget them. Standing shoulder to shoulder with the Quantico star were David Beckham, Jackie Chan and Orlando Bloom (with the star-baller and Kerr’s ex-flame in coordinated outfits to Ms. Chopra). She would now be working closely for UNICEF’s ‘For Every Child’ initiative, which works towards protection of child rights across the globe.
