So it all started when I was 15. FRIENDS launched in India in the late ‘90s, early 2000 and it was everything our generation was looking for in television. Having had a keen interest in fashion, the obsession with Rachel Green and her wardrobe was inevitable. But here I am 20 years later and the obsession seems to grow! I have watched the series a million times over and each time I do, I snapshot a “Rachel look” and stash it into the style folder in my brain. What is it about this character that keeps her looking super cool through decades? I decided to dive in and dissect each season, picking my favourite Rachel Green outfits that I would totally wear even today.
Episode: The One With The Fake Monica
What I love: The snug heart tee with tartan trousers! It looks super cute and super comfy.
Episode: The One Where Ross And Rachel…You Know
The look: V-Neck Tee with Light Blue Jeans
What I love: It is such a girl-next-door look but the way she carries it off, makes it sexy-chic.
Episode: The One Where No One Is Ready
Where to wear it: It’s the perfect brunch-sundowner-cocktail-feel good dress!
Episode: The One With The Jellyfish
Pair it with: The yellow halter takes me back to college! The top is perfect for summer and would look great with a white flowy, knee-length skirt, shorts or even with classic blue denim jeans!
Episode: The One With All The Kissing
What I love: This look is just so cool! The white crochet-cotton top paired with the khaki long-shorts. And, don’t miss the single ribboned braid!
Episode: The One Where Phoebe Runs
Perfect for: Lounging at home, grocery run, walk in the park or even when you are just hanging with friends.
Episode: The One With Monica’s Thunder
My thoughts: I think the classic black ‘tube’ dress needs a major comeback!
Episode: The One With The Rumour
What I love: It’s versatile, easy to wear and effortless!
Episode: The One In Barbados Part II
Where to wear it: Brunch!
Episode: The One With Princess Consuela
About the look: Well, It’s classic, clean, sharp and well fitted. It would definitely be my go-to interview outfit.
