Calling all TV junkies! While a titillating plot may be reason enough to follow a series or two, for our SC stylist’s, it’s got to give us something more – the fun and fierce styling on our list of must-watch shows gives us the much needed crunch we’re craving for.
Scandal: Fierce, classy, professional style – Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) has it all! When she isn’t busy solving problems with much flair or sprucing up her highly coveted romance with President Fitz, she’s sporting pea coats, capes, statement separates and such, in all her fabulous-ness.
An honourable mention goes out to Abby (Darby Stanchfield), aka, Red, former sassy member of Olivia’s entourage, for her stylish nuances.
New Girl: Jess, oh Jess! While she’s (Zooey Deschanel) happy being her quirky and unusual self, she’s also getting dolled up in her adorable, girly-chic outfits – we’re talking bow-print sweaters, A-line dresses, and her staple nerdy eye-wear and bangs. Her wardrobe makes us think of all things delicate and feminine, talk about a sugar rush!
House of cards: Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) returns as the First lady in their current season, in her awe-inspiring power avatar. If there’s anyone who can rock a skin-tight dress without making it look tacky, look no further – Claire Underwood’s wardrobe is power dressing at its finest!
The Mindy Project: A girly girl Gynecologist, the fun and vivacious Mindy Kaling keeps us hooked with her spunky fashion risks – print-on-print ensembles and separates color-blocked to inspire us in awe.
Mad Men: One of the finest shows to hit our TV screens is coming to a close with its final chapter – we’re going to miss the women that have made the show so swoon-worthy, the three leading ladies, in all their proper attires, Megan’s (Jessica Paré) sexy 70’s siren ensemble. These season finale promo shots re-assure that they’re going out with a bang!
Modern Family: When Gloria Pritchett (Sofia Vergara) isn’t busy making us smile with her amusing Colombian accent, she’s sporting her famous wrap dresses and glamazonian heels – we love this woman to bits. Lest we forget our favorite carefree spirit animal, Haley Dunphy (Sarah Hyland), who’s makes for a perfect muse for stylish wardrobe inspiration.
Pretty Little Liars: No fashionable TV mention would be complete without Pretty Little Liars – four different personalities, preppy, modern, grungy and sporty, these girls have their style notes right on point!
P.S. We’re loving Hanna’s (Ashley Benson) character transforming wardrobe, from Teen Vogue cover girl to couldn’t care-less grunge, it’s been an inspiring roller coaster!
