SC Review: The Social

The Social’s concept is to connect people from varied walks of life under one roof and give them the perfect environment to socialize. That is why they have the most interesting, quirkiest interiors Team SC has seen in a while. There are different types of chairs around one table, like a mis-matched jumble, but hugely pleasing nonetheless! The ceiling is made of egg trays – talk about reuse-recycle-ing to a product’s best advantage! The Bar decor is colorful and uniquely charming.

Team SC was floored by the attentive and super-friendly staff in black “The Social” tees. Nothing like a bunch of cheerful servers to make your meal a special one!

The menu is in the form of a newsletter, and they also have a different music menu for each day. The crowd is mostly young and energetic, especially after 6 pm.

The food items are varied and a quirky fusion of Indian and Western, perfectly in line with the feel and tone of the place. Our favorites are the Jalapeno Cheese Nads and the Prawn Sesame Toast, both of which were mouthwatering! They also have their own unique spin on the classic Vada Pao – it has an aloo patty with pita bread served with a garlic dip like the vendors serve it with the garlic chutney. For drinks, we tried the Aacharoska which is a fusion of alcohol and pickle, served in a pickle jar.

Needless to say, we were totally sold and will be visiting The Social quite frequently, as it made it onto our list of the best hangouts!
