Remember Miss Hermoine Granger from the iconic Harry Potter series? SC takes a walk down memory with the 11-year-old girl who has evolved into a distinct style and youth icon. Yes, we are talking about none other than Emma Watson. Despite her not so memorable fashion choices in the beginning of her career, Watson has, with time become one to look-out-for! Be it on the red carpet, TV shows or appearances, her style has etched itself in the minds of fashion aficionado’s world over.
-For the Premier of her debut film in 2001 and the first of the 8 Harry Potter movies, Watson was seen in a quirky short sleeved gown with leather boots and a feather boa (We think, sweet attempt but doesn’t make the cut.)
-Ok! No doubt the colour of her outfit makes her look like she’s playing Peter Pan in a play, let’s overlook that and give her a pat on the back for her experimenting!
-Now that’s so much better, for the New York premier of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, in 2004she opted for a knee length smocked dress with pretty side swept curls and embellished ballerinas (We Like!)
-With her style slowly but steadily moving uphill, Emma was all smiles in this blue sheer dress by Alberta Ferretti? at the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire premier in NYC.
-Just a few months before she was announced as “The face of Burberry”, the rising star was seen in one of the brands fabulous creations. Clearly she was now gearing up to take over as one of the youngest fashion icons in the industry.
-Channeling the Grecian Goddess look, Emma Watson wowed the red carpet in head-to-toe Alexander McQueen. Her shoes were customized especially for the occasion by the late designer.
- Emma proved she could do elegant yet edgy in this William Tempest bustier cocktail dress and she did so with complete and utter charm!
-For yet another premier of the series, Watson stepped out in an elegant, vintage gown so gorgeous that even the rainy gloomy weather couldn’t steal her thunder!
-So far our favorite, this dazzling gold custom-made Burberry dress with black skyscraper heels and smoky eyes. A definite winner!
-Showing her more casual yet edgy style, the actress attends a festival in festival-classics! Shorts + boots, we love!
-Talk about vamped up style? The bold actress takes a risk with this piece at the Deathly Hallows Part 1 premier and she rocked it!
-Most definitely our favorite red carpet favorite of all time, Emma worked her magic at yet another premier in this fairytale gown by the late Oscar De La Renta.
-Ending her rampant journey of fashion ups and downs, magical spells and playing the intimating and intelligent Hermione Granger, the actress made a risky yet dramatic statement in a one of a kind Bottega Venneta creation. (Kudos!)
- Of course her distinctive and unique style was going to be noticed and it wouldn’t be long before she started designing her own brand. Emma worked with People Tree to create a collection that was fashionable and very her!
Post Potter, Emma kept pushing her fashion boundaries and did so with one better than the other style quotients!
