When trying out this trend, it’s advisable to pick the outermost layer a size larger so that it doesn’t seem like it’s too tight. Try pairing a classic shift dress with a shrug or a nice cardigan and put a sleek belt on it. Add on a scarf as a third layer to complete the look. This layered look can be elegant if worn with the right accessories, or preppy if worn with a cool pair of sneakers!

Pull a total Blair Waldorf and throw some bright red into your outfit! Wear a crisp shirt open over a cropped tee and throw on a jacket or coat over it.

This one is pretty basic, but sure works everytime! A plaid or flannel shirt worn over a funky tee… things don’t get more casual or cooler than this! You can also try wearing a shirt over another shirt, keeping the outer one unbuttoned. Let loose your imagination and mix ‘n match some prints together for different layers.
