Fashion and style move in repetitive cycles, and it would seem that this season, the 90s fashion is making a huge comeback. It was the decade of more fashion misses than hits, but some trends stuck and are back in 2014 with a glamorous spin.
Here is our pick of ten favorites from the on-going 90s Revival that’s taken hold everywhere.
Crop Tops – These are back in a huge way, both on runway and off. This midriff-baring trend was the in thing all through the 90s, and spotted in practically every Bollywood movie.

Double Denim – Remember the time when everyone just had to have a denim shirt, vest or jacket in their closet? This head-to-toe denim look was a frequent sight on celebrities in the 90s and is back again on the fashion radar this year.

High Waisted Pants and skirts – The waistline’s moved up again this year and high waisted pants, a 90s staple (along with high waist skirts and shorts), are back on the red carpet and the runway in 2014.

Midi – This year marks the return of the Midi skirt. The retro length is now the preferred hemline for celebrities and fashion bloggers alike.

Pastels – The soft, soothing colors are a huge summer trend and were also fashion favourites in the 90s.

Bold Prints – Another trend that’s back in a big way is big and bold graphic prints – stripes, animal, floral or geometric. A printed dress is a closet staple this year.

Dungarees & Overalls – Remember Urmila and Karisma looking exceptionally cute in a pair of dungarees in the 90s? Dungarees are perfect for a lazy Sunday, as they are both, comfortable and chic.

Slip Dresses – One of the most iconic scenes from the 90s cult fashion movie, Clueless, was one where Cher so matter-of-factly tells her father that Calvin Klein said the little slip she was wearing was a dress. Slip dresses epitomize the whole vibe of 90s fashion.

Wedges – These wonderfully comfortable shoes are chic and have been a must-have for ages. They are a versatile shoe that can be paired with almost anything – be it formal, casual or flirty.

Mirrored Sunglasses – This 90s accessory is back and will definitely pull up your style quotient.
