Skin problems like annoying, ugly zits and the marks they leave are a universal pain. Lucky for us, we can combat most skin problems armed with the right ingredients from our kitchen cabinets. SC made a list of super-easy DIY facial masks, that have previously worked wonders for us!
Honey & Banana Face Mask – Mash a ripe banana into a paste and add a teaspoon of honey. Apply this mixture on your face for 20 – 25 minutes and wash off with cold water. This hydrating mask will leave your skin soft, supple and wrinkle free!
Almond & Oatmeal Mask – Grind a small cup of almonds into chunky powder and mix with a tablespoon of oatmeal. Add a teaspoon of milk powder and make a thick paste using water. Wash off after 20 minutes. This little miracle worker is a skin lightening face mask.
Strawberry & Yogurt Mask – Blend together finely crushed strawberries and a cup of yogurt and apply as face pack for 20 – 30 minutes. Rinse with cold water and pat dry. Once a week of this treatment will work wonders for oily, acne prone skin.
Turmeric Face Pack – Mix together one teaspoon each of turmeric powder and gram flour and make a paste using the juice of one lemon. Apply for 15 – 20 minutes, twice a week for pimple free, glowing skin.
Papaya & Tomato Face Mask – Using a blender, mix together a cup of fresh papaya, half a tomato and a teaspoon of honey. This is a skin lightening and tightening mask, to be used two or three times a month.
